The Obuasi Police Commander, Chief Superintendent Mahama Iddrisu, says police believe an outsider may be more likely to have buried the alleged foetus near Obuasi Senior High Technical School than someone from the school.

According to him, the location where the headmaster is alleged to have buried the foetus is far from the school, raising the possibility that someone from outside the institution could have been responsible.

He, however, stressed that investigations were ongoing to establish the facts of the case.

Chief Superintendent Iddrisu said farmers working around the scene had all been questioned as part of the investigation.

He made the remarks when chiefs from the Adanse Traditional Area visited the scene to pour libation.

He clarified that investigations into the alleged sexual scandal at Obuasi Senior High Technical School were being handled at the regional level, while the assault and destruction of property by students were being investigated by the local police command.

The police have urged the public to remain calm and allow investigators to complete their work.
