The District Chief Executive for Afigya Kwabre South, Patricia Pearl Ankrah, has called on teachers, school authorities, the Buoho community and Nananom to cultivate a strong culture of maintenance to ensure that a newly commissioned ultramodern STEM educational complex remains in good condition for years to come.

According to the DCE, the four-storey facility, which forms part of the educational infrastructure at the Buoho R/C Classical School, comprises sixteen classrooms, with each classroom equipped with tables and chairs.

She explained that the project was financed through the support of quarry companies operating within the Afigya Kwabre South District as part of their contribution to the development of communities within their operational areas.

Hon. Patricia Pearl Ankrah also expressed appreciation to her predecessor, Hon. Christian Adu-Poku, for initiating the project and engaging the quarry companies to support communities within areas where they operate.
She said the initiative demonstrates how effective collaboration between the Assembly and businesses operating within the district can bring meaningful development to local communities.

The DCE made these remarks following the completion and commissioning of the facility at the Buoho R/C Classical School in the Afigya Kwabre South District.

Later, the former DCE, Hon. Christian Adu-Poku, who was invited as a guest, spoke about some of the development projects undertaken during his tenure.
He emphasized the need for successive administrations to continue projects that have been initiated by previous governments and authorities, stressing that such continuity is necessary for the benefit of the people of the district.

The former NPP DCE, who was honored with a plaque by the current NDC DCE for his immense contribution to the development of the district, expressed pleasant surprise at the recognition. He thanked the DCE and wished her well, emphasizing that despite their ideological differences, politics should never breed enmity between opposing political parties.

Finally, the Assembly Member for the Buoho Electoral Area, Hon. Francis Kusi Worae, expressed appreciation on behalf of the Buoho community for the benefits the area has received from the quarry companies over the years.
He, however, indicated that the community continues to look forward to the fulfillment of some outstanding requests made to the companies.
