A tipper truck loaded with compressed scrap cardboard overturned at the Agbogbloshie Millennium Market on Tuesday, September 8, 2026, crashing into a Sprinter bus and leaving its driver injured.
According to a report by THESTATENEWSS, the driver was the only occupant of the commercial vehicle at the time of the incident.
He sustained injuries and was rushed to hospital for treatment.
Video footage from the scene shows the large truck tilted heavily over the green Sprinter van, which appeared severely crushed.

The bus’s doors and windows were broken, with scattered cardboard and debris surrounding the wreckage in the market area.
The truck’s cargo, piled high with compressed cardboard, spilt partially over the damaged vehicle, drawing attention from bystanders in the area.
