Chief Executive Officer of the Abuya Group of Companies, Alhaji Amin Iddrisu Abuya, has donated ICT and office equipment to the newly established Narpayilli Senior High School (SHS) in the Nanumba South District.

The donation includes laptops, printers, office desks, a photocopier, a risograph machine and stationery to support the school’s administrative and academic activities.

The items were received on behalf of the education authorities by Suhununu, Assistant Director at the Nanumba South Ghana Education Office.

He expressed appreciation to Alhaji Abuya for the gesture, describing the donation as timely given the importance of the equipment to the effective administration of the school.

“The laptop, the printer, the photocopier, they are tools that every school needs, and I believe Abuya has done it at the right time,” he said.

Suhununu said the donation was not the first time Alhaji Abuya had supported the community, adding that the latest gesture demonstrated his commitment to education and development in the area.

“We want to encourage others to emulate the efforts of Mr Abuya and follow his footsteps so that, at the end of it, Narpayilli Senior High School will grow to where we want it to be,” he added.

He urged the headteacher and staff of Narpayilli SHS to properly maintain the equipment to ensure that they remain useful for an extended period.

Suhununu noted that equipment donated to schools sometimes deteriorates prematurely due to poor maintenance, stressing the need for the school authorities to safeguard the items.

“We want the head and his staff to take good care of the materials so that they can be used for their intended purpose,” he added.

He described the donation as a “booster” for the school, saying the equipment would help management and staff perform their duties more effectively.

The official, speaking on behalf of the district and regional education authorities, expressed gratitude to the Abuya Group CEO for supporting the development of the school.

The donation comes at an early stage in the development of Narpayilli SHS and is expected to help address some of the institution’s immediate administrative and equipment needs.
