Daniel Hamenu, popularly known as Chica, has officially declared his intention to contest for the position of Deputy Volta Regional Youth Organiser in the upcoming National Democratic Congress (NDC) party reorganisation scheduled for November.
In a statement, Hamenu highlighted his long-standing involvement at the grassroots level of the party. He noted that he has served as a branch executive, polling agent, election task force member, elected assembly member, and a member of both the Ketu North and Regional Communications Teams.
He has also been actively involved as a leader and member of several regional pressure groups.
Hamenu is currently serving his second term as the Constituency Youth Organizer for Ketu North.
He also serves as the Acting Volta Regional Director of the Youth Employment Agency (YEA).
He said his experience has given him a clear understanding of the pulse, struggles and aspirations of the youth in the Volta Region.
According to him, his various roles have equipped him with administrative competence, strategic vision and a strong commitment to youth empowerment and party mobilisation.
Outlining his core commitments, Hamenu pledged to empower the grassroots by strengthening youth structures across all constituencies to secure total victory for the party.
He also promised strategic mobilisation through modern and energetic campaigns aimed at achieving massive voter turnout, as well as capacity building to equip young party members with sustainable opportunities and political education.
“The future of the NDC belongs to a mobilised, resilient and well-resourced youth front. Together, let us build a formidable force that delivers resounding electoral success,” he stated.
