Kofi Job Constructions has completed the asphalting of the major road linking the Sewua Government Hospital to other parts of the Ashanti Region.

The newly asphalted road, which was completed in record time, is expected to provide easier access to the Ashanti Regional Hospital, which is awaiting commissioning.

The development is expected to ease transportation challenges for patients, health workers, and residents in the area.

A visit to the facility on Friday, July 31, 2026, by OTEC News reporter Kwame Agyenim Boateng confirmed that the linkage road had been fully asphalted by the contractor.

Prior to the intervention, the poor state of the road had become a major concern.

For years, the deplorable condition of the road raised questions about how people would access the newly built hospital once it becomes operational.

Commuters and residents had complained about dust, potholes, and difficulties accessing the facility, particularly during the rainy season.

Residents who spoke to OTEC News commended Kofi Job Constructions for the quality of work and the speed of delivery.

"We appreciate Kofi Job Constructions for their dedication, not only to quality work but also for completing the project within time. This road has solved a major problem for us," one resident said.

The residents also praised President John Dramani Mahama for his intervention in ensuring the completion of the road.

They are now calling on the President to expedite processes to open the Sewua Government Hospital to the public to help address the healthcare needs of the region.
