The Ashanti Regional Minister, Dr Frank Amoakohene, has commended President John Dramani Mahama for the ongoing construction of the Sewua and Bosomtwe roads in the region.

Speaking in an interview with our news reporter, Sofoba Kwame Afrifah, Dr Amoakohene said the road projects would significantly improve connectivity, reduce travel time and boost economic activities for residents in Sewua, Bosomtwe and surrounding communities.

According to the Regional Minister, the roads have been a major concern for commuters and traders for years due to their poor condition.

He noted that the President’s commitment to fixing the roads demonstrates the government’s focus on infrastructure development in the Ashanti Region.

Dr Amoakohene added that the completion of the Sewua and Bosomtwe roads would ease the transportation of farm produce to markets in Kumasi and help reduce accidents along the routes.

He assured residents that the government would ensure the contractors deliver quality work within the stipulated timeframe and called on residents to support the projects.

The Sewua and Bosomtwe road networks serve as key routes linking several farming communities to Kumasi. Residents have long appealed for their rehabilitation to improve access, transportation and commercial activities.

Dr Amoakohene said the Regional Coordinating Council would continue to monitor the projects to ensure they meet the needs of the people.
