The Ellembelle Constituency Organizer of the New Patriotic Party, Bismark Nyameke Kojoe, has threatened to place a court injunction on the upcoming Western Regional Executive elections if Kwasi Bonzoh is not allowed to contest.

In a video that has gone viral on social media, Bismark Kojoe, speaking in Twi, said he would “sacrifice his life” to stop the elections slated for August if the disqualification of Kwasi Bonzoh is not reversed.

Kwasi Bonzoh, the former District Chief Executive for Ellembelle, was disqualified on Tuesday as a Western Regional Secretary hopeful over the party’s academic requirements.

Bismark Kojoe alleged that the disqualification was deliberate to enable Okatakyie Afrifa to run unopposed for the Regional Secretary position.

He further claimed that since Okatakyie Afrifa became Western Regional Secretary, he has not visited the Ellembelle Constituency.

“They are doing everything possible to allow Okatakyie Afrifa to run unopposed. But Kwasi Bonzoh has money to help the party win parliamentary seats in the Western Region. If they don’t allow him to contest, I will sacrifice my life to place a court injunction on the Western Regional executive elections slated for August,” he stated.

He noted that Kwasi Bonzoh has served as the NPP Parliamentary Candidate for Ellembelle four times, from 2012 to 2024, and deserves the opportunity to contest.

As of Saturday, July 26, 2026, the NPP National Appeal Committee had not cleared Kwasi Bonzoh to contest.

Officials of the Western Regional NPP Secretariat and representatives of Okatakyie Afrifa are yet to respond to the allegations.
