An articulated truck transporting cartons of tinned tomatoes and spaghetti from Accra to Togo overturned near the Sokpoe Filling Station on Saturday morning after reportedly developing a mechanical fault.

According to eyewitnesses, the driver stopped to inspect the vehicle before resuming the journey. However, the truck overturned shortly afterwards, spilling its cargo across the road.

However, no injuries were recorded in the incident. Residents have been praised for resisting the temptation to loot the scattered goods, enabling those involved to recover the cargo without disruption.
