WASSCE candidates in Nkwanta South Municipality of the Oti Region have been warned against using AI-generated answers and other digital tools during the ongoing exams.
According to an adomonline.com report on May 25, 2026, Nkwanta South Municipal Education Director, Jonathan Korsinah, issued the caution during a monitoring visit as candidates sat for the Integrated Science paper.
“Candidates must avoid bringing foreign materials and prohibited digital devices into examination halls, as any attempt to use such items could undermine the examination process and attract severe consequences,” he said.

Korsinah stressed the need to protect the integrity of the West African Senior School Certificate Examination.
He also warned invigilators and supervisors against compromising the exams by offering external help or enabling malpractice.
As part of the monitoring process, authorities recorded three cases of absenteeism, and one pregnant candidate was present to write the paper.
Reports also indicated that one of the absent candidates had reportedly travelled to Saudi Arabia in search of better opportunities.
Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) Joseph Awal Antwi, along with security personnel, visited the centers to encourage candidates and assure them of their safety.
He explained that due to insecurity in the municipality, candidates from Nkwanta Community Day Senior High Technical School, Kyabobo Girls SHS, and Nkwanta SHS had been relocated to write at Nkwanta SHS.
