The Paramount Chief of the Bole Traditional Area, Bolewura Sarfo Kutuge Feso I, has lauded the National Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Johnson Asiedu Nketiah, for his unwavering loyalty and support for President John Dramani Mahama.
The overlord made these remarks when the NDC National Chairman paid a courtesy call to his palace as part of his ongoing "Thank You" tour of the Savannah Region.
Addressing the leadership of the party, Bolewura Kutuge Feso I highlighted the longstanding political relationship between the two men, noting that Asiedu Nketiah’s dedication to John Dramani Mahama has remained steadfast since the president entered the national political scene.
"I want to take this opportunity to thank you, General Mosquito Asiedu Nketiah, for supporting my son, President John Dramani Mahama, from day one till now. Your commitment to him and the party has been evident, and as a father within this jurisdiction, I truly appreciate the stability and loyalty you have brought to his political journey," he stated.
The monarch further encouraged the NDC leadership to continue fostering unity within their ranks as they prepare for future political activities.
He emphasised that the development of the Savannah Region and the country at large remains the ultimate goal, urging the party to keep the interests of the people at the forefront of their agenda.
In response, Asiedu Nketiah expressed his gratitude to the Bolewura for the warm reception and his words of encouragement.
He reaffirmed his commitment to the NDC’s vision, noting that the party remains focused on addressing the economic challenges facing Ghanaians.
"Your Majesty, your support and blessings have always been our strength. We are here to thank you and your people for your continued belief in our party and in the leadership of President Mahama," Asiedu Nketiah said.
The NDC National Chairman’s tour of the region is aimed at engaging with traditional authorities, party grassroots, and constituents to show appreciation for their support during recent political exercises and to solicit their prayers and counsel for the road ahead.
The visit was marked by a vibrant cultural display, with the Bolewura offering traditional prayers for the NDC delegation, signaling a strong bond between the traditional leadership and the party in the region.
