John Mensah, the Assembly Member for Denkyira Nkotimso in Upper Denkyira West District of the Central Region, has called on religious and traditional leaders to actively participate in community development efforts.

Emphasising that cleanliness was valued by God, Mensah urged churches, Mosques, and traditional areas to engage in clean-up exercises to keep their environments tidy.

They must also support developmental projects in their areas to facilitate community growth.

This appeal was made during a recent clean-up activity in Denkyira Nkotimso, where Isaac Nsiah, the District Chief Executive for Upper Denkyira West, reinforced the message by highlighting the link between living in clean conditions and maintaining good health.

Nsiah stated that the district had implemented several measures,s including placing dustbins at advantageous points to enhance good sanitation.

He encouraged traders to properly dispose of waste by using designated bins after their daily market activities to save the Assembly huge sums used to clear waste and channel them into developmental projects.
