The Eastern Regional President of the Association of Priests, Okomfo Akosua Dedeaa, has cautioned the public against engaging in sexual activities in open spaces during this year’s Kwahu Easter celebrations.

Speaking during a visit to her residence at Obo in the Kwahu area, the priestess expressed concern over what she described as a growing trend of indecent behaviour during festive periods.

She emphasised that public places, including markets, schools, bars, and street corners, must not be turned into venues for immoral conduct, especially as large crowds are expected to gather for the annual celebrations.

According to her, such actions not only undermine cultural and moral values but could also have spiritual consequences if left unchecked.

Okomfo Akosua Dedeaa, therefore, urged revellers to exercise discipline, respect public spaces, and celebrate responsibly to ensure a peaceful and successful festival.

She also called on community leaders and security agencies to remain vigilant and work together to maintain order throughout the festive period.
