A five-bedroom house has been razed down by fire, destroying property worth hundreds of Ghana cedis at Maase in the Afigya Kwabre South District of the Ashanti Region.

The fire outbreak on Friday, March 20, 2026, has displaced 14 people, with one of the tenants reported to have lost millions of cedis to the fire.

Victims of the inferno said they are unsure of what triggered the fire; however, they suspected an erratic power supply as the cause.

No casualties were recorded in the fire incident.

Speaking to OTEC news, some of the displaced victims called on benevolent individuals for support.

“We have lost everything, not even clothes were spared; we are pleading with you to help us,” they said.

The Fire Service responded to the fire, but the house had already been razed down.

They have commenced investigations into the incident.
