Cocoa Purchasing Clerks (PCs) at New Edubiase in the Ashanti Region are calling out President John Dramani Mahama, urging him to show them the money released for cocoa farmers.
The PCs claim they are yet to receive payments for cocoa purchases despite government claims of releasing funds.
"Where is the money the government is talking about? I've purchased 90 bags of cocoa beans and am waiting for the government to pay me, yet I've seen nothing," one PC said.
"So if the government is saying monies have been released, we simply want the government to show us where the money is".
The PCs made this plea when the Minority in Parliament visited cocoa farmers in the area on Thursday, March 19, 2026.
The team, led by Minority Chief Whip Frank Annor-Dompreh, is engaging cocoa farmers in the region following the cocoa crisis in the country.
Addressing the farmers, Frank Annor-Dompreh slammed the government over delays in paying the farmers.
He noted the Minority will keep fighting until the cocoa farmers are paid.
He called on the government to urgently pay the farmers to save the sector from collapsing.
