Some women in the Kumasi Metropolis have attributed the growing use of love potions and charms in relationships to greed and selfishness among partners.
Speaking in an interview with OTEC News reporter Asarebea Diana on Wednesday, March 11, 2027, the women described the situation as a worrying trend in modern relationships.
According to them, selfishness on the part of some men often creates tension in relationships, particularly when it comes to sharing wealth and property acquired together. In some cases, they said, men refuse to allow their partners to benefit from properties and wealth both parties worked hard to build.
Their comments follow a GhanaWeb documentary that exposed the deadly side of Kayamata charms.
Reacting to the documentary, some of the women also pointed out that greed among certain women contributes to the situation.
They noted that some women resort to the use of charms in an attempt to gain control over their partners and their properties.
The women therefore called for honesty, trust, and fairness in relationships as a way of addressing the situation.
