The Member of Parliament for the Salaga South Constituency, Hajia Zuwera Mohammed Ibrahimah, has donated 650 bags of 50kg sugar to the Muslim community in the constituency ahead of the 2026 Ramadan.

The donation forms part of her annual support to constituents during the holy month of Ramadan, a period of fasting, prayer and reflection observed by Muslims worldwide.

At a brief ceremony to commence the distribution, the Constituency Chairman, Haruna Abdul Aziz, received the items on behalf of the party and the beneficiaries.

He commended the MP for her proactive leadership and commitment to strengthening the party at the grassroots level.

He prayed that Allah replenishes the resources she used to procure the sugar and assured her that the distribution would be carried out in a fair and transparent manner.

The 650 bags of sugar will be distributed to identified needy constituents through party branches, community leaders, religious and traditional authorities, imams, as well as women and youth group leaders across the constituency.

In her Ramadan message, Hajia Zuwera Ibrahimah urged Muslims to use the holy month to pray for peace, tranquillity, and development in the constituency and the country at large.

She reaffirmed her continuous support for the Muslim Ummah and her commitment to maintaining a strong and healthy relationship with them.

Distribution has already commenced in the Salaga and Kpembe wards.
