Acting Oti Regional Director of Ghana Tourism Authority visits Kyabobo park

Akwesi Frimpong, the Acting Oti Regional Director of the Ghana Tourism Authority, has paid a familiarisation visit to the Kyabobo National Park to assess the state of tourism facilities and explore ways to strengthen the park’s development and visibility.

Frimpong’s visit formed part of his introductory engagements with key tourism stakeholders in the region following his assumption of office.

Stakeholders’ dialogue was held between officials of the authority and the management of the park.

The meeting discussions were centered on possible interventions and investment opportunities that could support infrastructure development at the park, improve visitors’ experience, and enhance its image as a major tourism destination in the Oti Region.

He noted that the park had significant tourism potential and assured management of the authority’s commitment to collaborate with relevant stakeholders to attract investors and promote the site both locally and internationally.

Alfred Kofi Bara, the Manager of Kyabobo National Park, welcomed the visit and expressed appreciation for the interest shown by the Regional Director.

They all outlined some of the challenges facing the park in terms of logistics and infrastructure needs and called for sustainable support, to enable the facility to realise its full potential.

The engagement was expected to pave the way for a stronger partnership between the tourism authority and the park towards advancing tourism development in the region.
