The Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Akatsi South, Daniel Dagba, has personally funded and donated two Haojue motorbikes to the Works Department and the Physical Planning Department to enhance operational efficiency and improve service delivery within the municipality.
The gesture, which was financed from his own pocket, forms part of the MCE’s commitment to strengthening institutional capacity and ensuring that development reaches communities across the municipality.
Speaking after the donation, Dagba explained that the intervention became necessary following the confiscation of four official vehicles belonging to the Assembly by authorities at Sogakope Senior High School in 2019, a situation that negatively affected the operations of several departments, including the beneficiary units.
He noted that inadequate logistics had hindered effective monitoring, supervision and implementation of development projects, stressing that the motorbikes would significantly improve field operations.
“This intervention is to augment their service delivery and ensure that our departments are adequately equipped to discharge their duties efficiently,” he stated.
Dagba reaffirmed his commitment to improving the working conditions of Assembly departments, emphasising that providing the necessary tools for public servants remains crucial to accelerating development and improving the livelihoods of residents.
Officials of the beneficiary departments expressed profound appreciation to the MCE for the timely and selfless support, describing the donation as a major boost to their operations and a demonstration of dedicated leadership.
The donation forms part of ongoing efforts to enhance governance, strengthen public service delivery and promote sustainable development within the Akatsi South Municipality.
