The Eastern Vultures, a pro–New Patriotic Party (NPP) political group in the Eastern Region, have congratulated Mahamudu Bawumia on his decisive victory in the party’s recently concluded presidential elections.

In a statement issued on February 3, 2026, the group described the outcome as a clear endorsement of Dr. Bawumia’s leadership credentials, competence, and commitment to the core values of the New Patriotic Party.

According to the Eastern Vultures, the result reflects renewed confidence among party members and signals a fresh mandate to steer the NPP toward innovation, unity, and effective governance.

The group said the party is now better positioned to reorganise and mobilise ahead of the 2028 general elections, expressing optimism that Dr. Bawumia’s leadership will help the NPP reclaim political power.

They highlighted priorities including sound economic management, digital transformation, inclusive development, and expanded opportunities for young people.

The Eastern Vultures also commended the other presidential aspirants—Yaw Osei Adutwum, Bryan Acheampong, Kennedy Agyapong, and Kwabena Agyei Agyapong—for what they described as maturity, patriotism, and respect for internal party democracy throughout the process.

They noted that the peaceful and transparent conduct of the elections further reinforced the NPP’s reputation as a well-organised and democratic political party, crediting the party leadership and the Presidential Elections Committee for a credible process.

Reaffirming their loyalty, the Eastern Vultures pledged to work actively at all levels of the party to mobilise support and energise the grassroots ahead of the 2028 polls, saying they remain committed to contributing to an eventual electoral victory.

The leadership and entire membership of the Eastern Vultures (Pro–New Patriotic Party Group in the Eastern Region) proudly and wholeheartedly extend our warmest congratulations to His Excellency Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia on his emphatic and well-deserved victory in the just ended NPP Presidential Elections.

This victory is a collective affirmation of the confidence reposed in Dr. Bawumia’s visionary leadership, sterling competence, and commitment to the values and progressive ideals of the New Patriotic Party. It represents a reinvigorated mandate from the rank and file of our party to lead the NPP into a new era of hope, innovation, and transformational governance.

As a formidable and disciplined political force, the NPP now stands united, hopeful, re-energised, and strategically positioned to reclaim political power from the incompetent NDC administration in the 2028 general elections.
