The discovery of a nearly decomposed body of a farmer has thrown the Amanfoso community, near Nsoatre in the Sunyani West Municipality, into a state of shock.
Madam Attaa Adwoa, the Assembly Member of the Amanfoso Electoral Area, told the Ghana News Agency (GNA) that some residents found the body of Kabore Abuu lying prostrate on a mango farm on Sunday, February 1, 2026.
She described the incident as alarming, saying it was the fifth time that such an incident had happened in the area and called for swift police investigations.
In another interview, Hamza Zakaria, a member of the bereaved family, told the GNA that the deceased left home for the farm on January 26, 2026; however, he did not return.
He said the police had since picked up the body and deposited it at the Berekum Holy Family Catholic Hospital for preservation and autopsy as investigations continued.
