Rural Bank refurbishes Nyinahin Police Station

Nyinahin (Ash.), Aug. 26, GNA - The Amanano Rural Bank has donated sets of office furniture, ceiling fans and woollen carpets towards the refurbishment of the Nyinahin Police Station in the Atwima Mponua District.

It has also painted the station to give it a facelift. Mr Christian Osei Bonsu, Supervising Manager, said this formed part of the Bank's corporate social responsibility.

He gave the assurance that the bank would continue to support to improve the working environment of the police, to enable them carry out the duty of ensuring peace and security within the community. Police Superintendent Samuel Aloredey, District Commander, said the Service was grateful to the Bank for the gesture.

Meanwhile, the bank has donated a number of wheel barrows, shovels and pick-axes to the Nyinahin Town Council to support the community to undertake clean ups and other self-help projects through communal labour.

Nana Tano Afrane, Chairman of the Council, who expressed his appreciation to the bank, said the tools would be used to improve the environmental sanitation of the area.
