Add Your Voice Head calls for peaceful elections

Accra, Aug. 17, GNA - Mr Kwabena Osei Bonsu, Head of Add Your Voice Now, a non-governmental Organization that seeks to promote peace, on Sunday called on politicians, opinion leaders and the clergy to let their utterances promote peace, stability and national unity as the country prepares for another election.

He told the GNA in an interview that said as the nation entered another era of democratic development, there was the need for Ghanaians to remain united to ensure the growth of the country's younger democracy.

Mr Osei Bonsu asked Ghanaians to use this year's election as a test case to demonstrate their maturity for other countries to emulate. The NGO, which also aims at preaching against the malaria disease, asked the electorate to reject politicians whose aim is to sow a seed of discord that could plunge the country into chaos. Mr Osei Bonsu advised Ghanaians to pray for God's guidance in electing capable leaders who have the development of the nation at heart.

Mr Osei Bonsu appealed to political partie4s to exhibit a high level of tolerance and accept the results of the elections in good faith.
