Mile 50 School now has a toilet facility

Mile 50 (E/R), June 27, GNA - A 64-million-cedi eight-seat KVIP, funded by DANIDA for the Mile 50 Basic and Junior Secondary School near Koforidua was inaugurated last Monday.

The facility has a mounted tank for harvesting of rain water that would run through a stand pipe to be used by the pupils of the school in washing their hands after using the facility The school that currently has a pupil population of 500 was established in 1960.

Speaking at the ceremony, the Headteacher of the school, Mrs Agnes Mills, said it was the desire of Madam Agata Botokua who donated the land for the school, for the school to be named after his late brother, Rev. Asare Nfuafo of the Presbyterian Church.

She thanked the Chairman of the school's Parent/Teacher Association (PTA), Mr George Ohene Addo, the entire executive of the PTA and DANIDA for their contribution towards the construction of the KVIP.
