Past students of Oda Secondary assist Alma Mater

Akyem Oda (E/R), April 23, GNA- The Past Students Association of Oda Secondary School (ODASCO) on Monday donated a number of items to the Home Economics Department of the school.

The items worth over 20 million cedis, included tables, ice chests and blenders.

Mr Paul Kwesi Mensah, President of the association who presented the items said the gesture followed an appeal made to them by the department to come to their aid. He said the presentation was just the beginning, and appealed to all past students to join the association to help make the school a centre of excellence.

Mr Mensah said the association intends to donate library books to the school as their contribution towards rekindling reading habits among students.

Mrs Olivia Agrow, head of the Home Economics department thanked the past students for responding quickly to their appeal. She said the items had come at the right time when the final year students were preparing to write their external examinations. Miss Florence Opaye, the class prefect assured the association that the students would reciprocate the gesture by studying hard. Other association members present at the ceremony included Mr Kwesi Aboagye Da-Costa, Mr Agyekum Asante and Mrs Margaret Tuffour. 23 April 07
