Keta gets new Chief

Keta (V/R), April 14, GNA - Mr Joshua Kwamivi Ocloo, 50, an Electrical Engineer was on Thursday installed Chief (Dufia) of Keta in the Anlo Traditional Area in the Volta Region.

Mr Ocloo, formerly of Ajar Electrics Company, where he worked as the Maintenance Supervisor attached to Shell Petroleum Housing Estate in Lagos, Nigeria, assumed the title of Togbe James Ocloo V. He succeeded his late uncle, Togbe James Ocloo IV, who died in 1997, having ruled for 36 years.

The new chief was confined for seven days under the tutelage of Togbe Dzokoto Gligui VI, Paramount Chief of Anyako.

Mr Stephen Ocloo, a stool father told the Ghana News Agency (GNA) that the new chief was nominated because of his qualities to unite, develop and market the area in line with the emerging socio-economic paradigm, which places added responsibilities on traditional rulers.
