Youth urged to uphold human dignity

Ho, Aug. 13, GNA - The Rev Kofi Vovonyo Akwetey of the Christ Evangelistic Church Ho has appealed to the youth to devote themselves to a life-long relationship with God in order to protect their human dignity.

He urged them to search, read and study the Bible constantly for the best prescriptions for success in life.

The Rev Akwetey was speaking on the topic "striving to enhance human dignity, a responsibility for all" at the youth week celebration of the Ho Bankoe Elorm Parish of the Evangelical Presbyterian Church in Ho.

He said youthfulness offered the best period in one's life to lay a firm foundation for a life of godliness and service which when missed could prove difficult to regain in old age.

The Rev Akwetey said God imbued man with his own character of kindness, decency, holiness, dignity and many other positive attributes but these had been lost to worldly considerations resulting in loss of human and societal dignity.
