Youth cautioned against watching pornographic materials

Twifo-Agona (C/R), Aug. 25, GNA - The Twifo-Heman-Lower Denkyira District Chief Executive (DCE), Mr Abraham Odoom on Tuesday decried the high rate of obscenity in the country and cautioned the youth against watching pornographic films and obscene materials.

He advised them to study hard to enable them to pass their examinations to justify the huge investment being made by their parents and Government in their education.

Mr Odoom gave the advice, when he closed a five-day Youth Camp Meeting, organised by the Church of Pentecost at Twifo Agona, under the theme " The Youth of Today".

The DCE asked the youth to be disciplined and refrain from taking the law into their own hands, when fighting for their rights. He advised them against pre-marital sex to avoid been infected with HIV/AIDS and reminded them that the disease was real and that no known cure had been found to it yet.

The area pastor of the Church, Pastor Christopher Martey, said the Camp Meeting was organised to help enhance their moral and spiritual growth of the youth and appealed to them to emulate Christ to enable them become responsible citizens.
