Youth at Aflao form business club

Aflao, July 10, GNA- Togbe Amenya Fiti V, Paramount Chief of the Aflao Traditional Area, has said efforts by governments to equip the youth with skills would fail if the youth were not committed to progressing in life.

He was speaking at the inauguration of Believers Fun Club, a business-oriented club at Afekotoeme, a suburb of Aflao.

Togbe Fiti said the willingness of the youth to put to use training acquired, was a vital component to the success of the country's development agenda.

He advised the youth to refrain from using their energies on frivolous activities such as alcohol, narcotic drugs and casual sex.

Togbe Dunenyo Midadje, a sub-chief of the area who is resident in Canada, told the youth to embrace the government's vocational training programmes.

Mr Emmanuel Elvis Kumado, Vice-President of the club, said young people in the community formed the club to share ideas that would facilitate their businesses.
