Work starts on GH¢1.3 million Tepa storm water drainage system

A ceremony has been performed for construction works to begin on the GH¢1,398,464.00 storm water drainage improvement system, at Tepa in the Ahafo-Ano North District.

The project is Government-funded and is expected to be completed within six months.

Two construction companies, Jaderolo Company Limited and Mubary Company Limited have been awarded the job.

Mr David Addai Amankwaah, the District Chief Executive (DCE), said on completion, it would stop flooding in the town during rainfall, a major discomfort for the people.

He assured them that the government would continue to work hard to make life better for all.

The DCE advised the people to put the elections behind them and work together to bring development to the area.

Mr Akwasi Adusei, the Member of Parliament (MP), gave the government high marks for the numerous development projects it was undertaking in the district, including the lighting up of communities and the Tepa Jubilee Market Complex.

Nana Adusei Atwenewa Ampem, Omanhene of Tepa, urged the contractors to ensure quality work and value for money.
