Work on Bompata SHS classroom block to begin

Bompata (Ash), April 13, GNA - Mr De-graft Fokuo, District Chief Executive (DCE) for Asante-Akim South, has announced the construction of a six-unit classroom block for Bompata Presbyterian Senior High School (SHS). The project, being financed by the Ghana Education Trust Fund (GETFund) at a cost of GH¢260,000.00 , is scheduled to be ready in six months. =A0 A0=A0 Mr Fokuo said that there has been tremendous improvement in educational infrastructure development within the past two years which would enhance academic work.

He said that currently, there were more than 15 school projects at various stages of construction, including a two-storey dormitory at the Juaso SHS. =A0 A0=A0 The DCE said the government was determined to create the right environment for effective teaching and learning and to make education accessible to all Ghanaians. =A0 A0=A0 He asked the contractors awarded the contract, DOTA Constructions, to complete the job as scheduled. =A0 A0=A0 Mr Ebenezer Ofosu Aboagye, Assistant Headmaster of Bompata Presbyterian SHS, commended the government for the project, which he said would ease overcrowding in the classrooms. 13 April 11
