Tafi-Agome (V/R), Sept. 10, GNA- Mr James Dogbe, Hohoe District Chief Executive (DCE) on behalf of the Minister of Women and Children's Affairs presented a cassava-processing machine valued at 11 million cedis to the Tafi-Agome Co-operative Cassava Farmers Society. Presenting the machine which the Women and Children's Affairs Ministry subsidised, the DCE said the government was doing all it could to reduce poverty in rural areas to enhance development. Mr Dogbe called on women in the district to organise themselves into co-operatives to enable them to benefit from the government's poverty reduction programmes.

Mr Welson Bribi, President of the Association who received the machine pledged that it will be put to good use. He appealed to the Hohoe District Assembly to help them market their products, which include gari and cassava dough. 10 Sept. 03
