A woman, believed to be in her mid-30s, has lost her life in a fatal accident at Aboabo in the Asokore Mampong Municipality of the Ashanti Region.

According to eyewitnesses, the yet-to-be-identified woman was knocked down by a long vehicle carrying electrical cables, killing her instantly.

The sad incident occurred on Tuesday, July 29, 2025.

Some eyewitnesses, in an interview with OTEC News Reporter Kwame Agyenim, said the deceased was crossing the Airport-Anloga Junction Highway at the Aboabo Post Office area when the unfortunate incident occurred.

The police from the Motor Traffic and Transport Unit (MTTU) from the Airport Police Station responded to the scene.

They revealed that the deceased was confirmed dead by health officials, with the body being kept at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital.
