Woman, 65, found dead in bush with private parts removed

Residents of Mpasatia in the Atwima Mponua District of the Ashanti Region are in a state of shock following the discovery of a lifeless body of woman found with some vital body parts missing.

The deceased, 65-year-old Maame Eno Akua Bredu a farmer, went missing since Monday only for her corpse to be discovered on Tuesday evening, after a search party had gone looking for her. Residents believe she was murdered for ritual purposes.

Vital parts of her body including her hearts, tongue and genitals were missing while her pubic hair seemed to have been shaved.

The body has been deposited at the Frimpong Boateng Health Centre Morgue at Toase.

The Nkawie Police have commenced investigations into the heinous crime and have vowed to bring the perpetrators to book.
