Winneba Government Hospital forms drugs committee

Winneba, Nov. 4, GNA - A seven-member Drug and Therapeutic Committee has been inaugurated at the Winneba Government Hospital with Dr Hercules France, Medical Superintendent of the hospital, as its chairman.

The committee is to provide a strong linkage between doctors and patients in various government hospitals and clinics in the Awutu-Efutu-Senya District.

Mr Harry Kumassah, Administrator at the Hopsital, said the formation of the committee formed part of measures adopted by the Ministry of Health to promote quality health care.

He said members of the committee were selected from the various departments of the hospital.

Mr Kumassah stressed the need for close collaboration between the hospital and private chemical sellers so that the community could have access at all times to quality drugs and at affordable prices.
