Wesley College turns 80

Kumasi, Oct 25, GNA- Miss Lydia Osei, the Deputy Director-General of the Ghana Education Service (GES), has called for committed people to join the teaching profession, cautioning that that employment seekers must not see it, as a means to an end.

Miss Osei who was addressing graduates of Wesley College in Kumasi as part of the College's 80th anniversary celebration, said the teaching profession was a noble profession and a call to serve one's country. Two hundred and sixty four (264) students, successfully completed the three-year course.

Mr. B.F. Anyan, the Principal, expressed gratitude to the Ghana Book Trust (GBT) and the French Embassy for donating books worth 21 million cedis to the College.
