Wenchi MCE inducted

Wenchi (B/A) May 9, GNA - The Right Reverend Charles Kwasi Konadu, Methodist Bishop of Wenchi diocese has urged family members and communities whose personalities gain positions in government to avoid burdening them with financial demands and other social problems as that could tempt them to indulge in bribery and other nation-wrecking activities.

Rev. Konadu was preaching at an induction church service in honour of Nana Bernard Atta-Fena, newly appointed Municipal Chief Executive of Wenchi.

He expressed concern about the attitude of some people who regularly sought favours from political personalities and advised the Municipal Chief Executive to give equal attention to all in the municipality.

The Methodist Bishop urged him to be God-fearing, truthful and faithful in managing available resources as well as seeking the welfare of the people to enhance the development of the municipality. Bishop Konadu expressed regret about the chieftaincy problem at Wenchi and appealed to the MCE to help resolve it to promote peace and unity for the accelerated development of the area. Nana Atta-Fena commended the church for its role and called for close collaboration between religious bodies, traditional authorities and Assembly Members for the growth of the municipality.
