Wegbe-Kpalime E.P. Church launches Centenary celebration

Wegbe-Kpalime, Sept.12, GNA - The Reverend Obed K. Klu, Parish Pastor of the Ho Bankoe Elorm E.P. Church on Sunday exhorted the people of Wegbe-Kpalime to forgive all wrongs as a memorial to the centenary year of the local E.P. Church.

Reverend Klu gave the exhortation in a sermon at the launch of the centenary celebration of the Church slated for 2012 under the theme, "I will proclaim the great deeds of the Lord".

Reverend Klu said the achievements of the people of Wegbe-Kpalime as individuals and a community reflected the positive influences of the E.P. Church locally in the past 100 years.

He said during the period many people left the Church for various reasons but the fact remained that the E.P. Church was the ladder which many people climbed to be where they are today.

He said those differences and wrongs must be forgiven in the centenary year to enable the community to march on to greater achievements. Reverend Klu, therefore, beckoned all churches in Wegbe-Kpalime to participate actively in celebrating 100 years of Christianity and its achievements in the community.

He observed that forgiveness was a virtue that compensated for weaknesses which tended to drive people to wrong each other and harbor hatred.

He said everyone was in need of forgiveness as a priceless virtue.
