The Ghana campus of the Webster University has held its 4th commencement ceremony on Saturday, May 19, 2018, at the forecourt of the school situated in East Legon, Accra.

Fourteen students who studied Master of Arts in International Relations, Bachelor of Arts in Management, Bachelor of Arts in International Relations, and Master of Business Administration programmes were presented with honors.

Speaking at the event, the Campus Director of Webster University Ghana, Ms. Christa Sanders said, “Today is your day to celebrate the class of 2018. From the extraordinary Faculty that has trained you, to the support and encouragement received from a wider Webster University global community, we believe you have gained much and not only a prestigious internationally recognized degree, but you have also inherited an extended Webster family.”

She further challenged the graduating students to carve their own niches to bring to reality the change and development they dream about. “Be the change that you wish to see especially in today’s world.” she said.

According to her, the graduates, having been exposed to extraordinary faculty lecturers from all corners around the globe is an inspiration for them.

Guest speaker at the event was the US Ambassador to Ghana, Robert P. Jackson.

On his part, Mr. Jackson urged the students to take initiatives that embed a sense of purpose to themselves and humanity as they progress into a new phase in their lives.

Webster University’s Ghana Campus, since its inception in 2013, has had three successful commencement ceremonies at which their first three cohorts of graduate students were awarded master’s degrees in Business Administration and International Relations.

Saturday’s congregation adds up as the fourth for Webster University (Ghana) where 14 students graduated with various honors. It also marked the graduation of their first cohort of undergraduate students.

Although the university has been operating its Ghana campus for barely four years, it can boast of four successful graduations.

Webster University has been touted as the only Tier 1, private, non-profit U.S. University that provides a network of international residential campuses with robust online learning program.
