Wassa Hemma Foundation donates to Ghana National Tailors and Dressmakers Association

The Wassa Hemma Foudation (WHF) set up by MP for Prestea Huni-Valley and Deputy Minister for Lands and Natural Resources, Lawyer Barbara Oteng-Gyasi has through the auspices of Promoting Skills Training Agenda, donated 17 sewing machines to graduating seamstresses of Ghana National Tailors and Dressmakers
Association(GNTDA), Prestea branch.

Presenting the sewing machines on behalf of the MP, the Municipal Chief Executive of Prestea Huni-Valley, Mozart Kwaku Owuh said, since 1992, no MP in the municipality has taken it upon him or herself to promote skill training by providing such donations.

The MP donated close to 90 sewing machines and hairdryers to all graduating seamstresses and hair dressers in 2018 alone.

“These things are happening because of the wise decisions you made and voted for Lawyer Barbara Oteng-Gyasi” Mr Mozart stated.

He said, by next year, more additional items will be added. He however admonished on GNTDA to get a training centre.

The MCE seized the opportunity to highlight the Synohedro Project that will see Prestea town roads being asphalted in 2019.

He also promised the Assembly that the top floor of the OPD of Prestea Government Hospital will be given on contract by February 2019, even as the MP, Barbara Oteng-Gyasi has started a two storey Children ward at the same hospital.

On mining, the MCE said, all “vetted licensed small scale miners have been asked to go back to work” and government is working so hard to implement community mining project, and promised that, very soon, small scale miners and stones work, will all be smiling under this listening government.” This government has come to make you progress” he stated.

The MCE also touched on the Obaapa Micro Loan Scheme which was recently launched by the MP and stated those who will benefit should work hard and pay so that others can benefit.

Receiving the item, Mr. Anokye, used the occasion to thank the MCE and MP for fulfilling their promises and said, the people of Prestea should continue supporting the MP.

Ennor Arthur, second Vice Chairman, NPP PHC, Jubel Kwaw, Youth Organizer, NPP PHC, Yaw Owusu, Youth Employment Director, PHMA, Alhaji Amuda, Nasara Coordinator, NPP PHC, Hajia Azumi Inusah, Women Organizer, PHC, Alhaji Nuhu Mohammed, Chairman of NPP Coordinators, Prestea and executives of GNTDA in Prestea And the general public.
