WR GNCCI elects new executives

The Western Regional branch of the Ghana National Chamber of Commerce and Industry, over the weekend elected freshmen to steer the affairs for the next two years.

The elections conducted by the Regional Electoral Commission, saw Mr. Stephen Miezan, emerging as the new chairman. He polled 16 out of the 19 eligible votes to beat Reverend Gina Nyame who had three.

The Vice Chairman’s position was taken by Mr Myckl Danquah, while Madam Charlotte Afful is the current treasurer.

Mr Anthony Homiah, stepped down to allow Madam Afful to contest unopposed.

All the old executives, led by Mr. Issa Ouedraogo did not contest this year's elections.

Mr. Miezan popularly called Abass in the business community, promised a united front in driving business in the region.

He said the Chamber would advocate for good policies that could grow and advance the course of industries.
