Management of the Upper Manya Kro Rural Bank Limited has constructed a four-bedroom bungalow valued at over GH¢60,000 for the Akotoe Tsrebuana D/A Primary School in the Upper Manya Krobo District of the Eastern Region.

Board Chairman of Upper Manya Kro Rural Bank Limited, James Kwame Otieku, said the bank took interest in supporting teachers at Akotoe Tsrebuana D/A Primary School after it received a request from the school’s authorities.

Trained teachers usually refuse postings to the area because of the lack of accommodation.

Mr Otieku reiterated the bank’s commitment to excellence in academic work and wellbeing of the teaching staff.

He, therefore, advised authorities at the Akotoe Tsrebuana School and the teaching staff to put the facility to good use.

The project formed part of the bank’s corporate social responsibility to the community.

Receiving the keys to the facility, the District Director of Education, Deborah Babatunde and the District Chief Executive (DCE), Felix Odjao Nartey, both commended the board and management of Upper ManyaKro Rural Bank Limited for the gesture.

They expressed gratitude to the bank for executing many projects in the district.

He added that the gesture would motivate the teachers to improve teaching and learning in the area.

Mrs Babatunde called on other spirited organizations to emulate the shining example of the Upper Manya Kro Rural Bank Limited.

In another development, Rev Divine Nartey, Head Pastor, Assemblies of God Church in Asesewa, has presented a personal computer and printer to the school.
