Upper East residents complain of poor ECG services

Some residents of Upper East Region, especially those in the Bolgatanga Municipality, have blamed the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) for non-performance, and cited irregular power supply.

Mr Adongo Akanda, a Public Health Nurse and Mr Apana Akolgo a teacher, complained to Ghana News Agency, at the weekend about constant disruption of power supply to the municipality.

The residents expressed worry that anytime they made phone calls to the ECG Directorate in the region to complain about the situation, they did not receive any response.

They lamented that their electrical gadgets have been destroyed by frequent light offs.

Mr Samuel Peter and Mr Akanga Moses, both residents of Low Cost Estate in Bolgatanga, said if the situation continued, they would organise the people in the municipality to demand good services from the ECG.**
