Unique Trust donates to Helpage Ghana

Accra, Dec. 18, GNA - Unique Trust Financial Services on Monday donated food items worth more than five million cedis to Helpage Ghana, a non-governmental organization engaged in assisting the aged. The items included 10 bags of rice; four cartons of cooking oil; five cartons of mackerel and five cartons of assorted dinks and beverages.

Mrs Pearl Esua-Mensah, Director of Finance and Administration of Unique Trust, said the donation formed part of the social responsibility of the institution towards the aged. She said the organization had noticed that many aged people in the country were living as destitute, hence its commitment to support them. Receiving the items, Mr Ebenezer Adjetey-Sorsey, Director of Helpage, said the items would be used to serve the aged, who normally went to its day care centre for socialization. He expressed gratitude to Unique Trust for the support and appealed to other institutions and philanthropists to help the organization in the construction of a new day care centre at Teshie.
