UN Official Enstooled Nkosuohemaa

A UNITED Nations Special Advisor to the Secretary-general on Children in Armed Conflicts has been enstooled the Nkosuohemaa at Agyimanti, a farming community in the Akwapim Ridge in the Eastern Region.

Madam Audrey Kitagawa who is a lawyer by profession and had worked in many international organisations, has the stool name Nana Ode Anyakobea.

She has contributed immensely to the community development projects. Notable among them are the Apeadu Peace Centre, a teachers’ bungalow and a new classroom block for the community.

In an address Nana Ode Anyakobea appealed to the people not to allow internal wrangling and petty squabbles to divide their ranks. She noted that when such behavioural tendencies persist they draw back progress of the town.

The chief of Agyimanti, Nana Kwame Takyi, pledged to give her the necessary support to make her reign a reality. He, however, appealed to the people to contribute their quota through cash and kind to speed up the town’s development projects.
