Two die and nine injured in accident at Ho

Two people died, one on the spot and the other at the Volta Regional Hospital Ho, on Saturday when a Mitsubishi double-cabin pick-up conveying mourners from a funeral at Taviefe somersaulted in a sharp curve on the hills overlooking Ho.

Nine others are on admission at the Ho hospital. Mr Agrippa Appatu, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Regional Head of the Motor Traffic and Transport Unit (MTTU), gave the names of the dead as Felicia Worwornyo, 65, and Peace Gedze 33.

He said the driver, one Eric Akpator who is one of those on admission, was in critical condition.
