Two Ahmadiyya Schools receive 10 computers

Accra, Jan. 27, GNA - The Supreme Head of the World-Wide Ahmadiyya Muslim Community, His Holiness, Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad, Khalifatul Masih V, has made a personal donation of 10 computers and accessories worth 86 million cedis to two Ahmadiyya Senior Secondary Schools in the country.

The schools are; T.I. Ahmadiyya Muslim Senior Secondary School, Gomoa Potsin and T.I. Ahmadiyya Muslim Secondary Schools, Ekumfi Essarkyir, both in the Central Region.

Presenting the donation on behalf of His Holiness, Maulvi A Wahab Adam, Ameer and Missionary-in-Charge of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Mission Ghana said the donation was made in fulfilment of promise his Holiness made to the schools during his visit to Ghana in March 2004. Maulvi Adam appealed to Mr Mohammed Ackonu, Headmaster of the Gomoa Potsin T.I. Ahmadiyaa Secondary School and Mr Dimbie M Issah, Headmaster of Ekumfi Essakyir T.I. Ahmadiyaa Secondary School to ensure that the computers were put to good use.

Receiving the items, the Headmasters expressed their gratitude to the Supreme Head, which they said would enhance Computer Studies in their respective Schools.

Present at the ceremony which took place at the National Headquarters of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Mission at Osu, Accra included Maulvi Mohammed Bin Salih, Second Deputy Ameer and Mr Ahmad Anderson, General Secretary, both of Mission and Mrs Zainab Abdul Salaam, Second Assistant Headmistress of the T.I. Ahmadiyya Secondary School, Gomoa Potsin.
