Chiefs and people of Kunfusi and Kalba in the Sawla-Tuna-Kalba district of the Northern region are crying to government to construct their road linking Tuna and Kalba which is posing danger to vehicular movement.

In an interview with the chief of Kunfusi Saaka Awusi, he says, there was flood after a heavy rain at the valley heading towards kunfusi on the Tuna-Kalba road due to continues heavy rainfall in the area, the flood has resulted in serious hazard and treat to vehicles plying the road especially this raining season.

Saidu Mumuni, Chief of Kalba in an interview says the road has been on a death trap for so many years but this year is worse, he says both raining and dry season they find it difficult to travel from Kalba to Tuna, he therefore appealed to the government to construct the road to enhance easy accessibility as the people are mainly farmers.

Some traders and drivers also lament about the poor road network especially during kalba market days.

The traders also thank Kalbawura and his youth for filing sacks with sand on parts of the road to make it motorable.
