Tullow Oil cuts sod to construct kindergarten at Beyin

Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Jomoro, Mr. Ernest Kwofie has congratulated Tullow Oil for its swift action to assist the municipality to put up a-two-unit kindergarten classroom block at Beyin.

He said the move comes as a relief to pupils and teachers of Beyin Catholic primary school, who had been attending classes under trees over the years.

Mr.Kwofie was speaking at a sod-cutting ceremony for the construction of classroom block for the Beyin Catholic primary school in the Western Region.

The project, which is expected to be completed within five months has a kitchen for the school feeding programme and a playground.

The MCE reminded the educational directorate to endeavour to post teachers to the school before September 2019.

The Municipal Director of Education for Jomoro, Mr.George Effah lauded Tullow Oil for also building a school block at Ahobre in the Jomoro municipality.

The Omanhene of Western Nzema Traditional Council, Awulae Annor Adjei, who chaired the function, congratulated Tullow Oil for such a tremendous work in the area and appealed to them to initiate more social intervention projects in the area.
