An unidentified man has lost his life after a truck ran over him at the Alajo junction in Accra.

In a graphic.com.gh report on Friday, September 26, 2025, the truck, with registration number GS 4295-21, reportedly ran over the victim with its left rear tyres.

It is not immediately clear how the accident occurred, but eyewitnesses suggested the deceased may have been riding a motorcycle and was knocked down while attempting to meander through traffic to overtake the truck.

The man was trapped under the vehicle and dragged along the road before the truck eventually came to a stop, they said.

The incident caused heavy traffic congestion stretching from the Abeka Junction traffic light, through the frontage of the Police Training Academy at Tesano, towards the Alajo traffic light.

Police officers responded to the scene to assess the situation and conveyed the body to the morgue, the report said.
